Review of Vertigo (1958) by Ken S — 02 Sep 2014
One of Hitchcock's best, and his last collaboration with Jimmy Stewart. Stewart stars as a cop who retires due to his severe fear of heights which causes him vertigo. He is hired to follow an old friend's wife, but after he saves her life, he falls in love with her.
..only to have her successfully commit suicide. But not all is what it seems! It is a classic thriller with all the good qualities commonly associated with Hitchcock, and some unique visuals and elements to boot.
Wonderful film.
