It's this movie's honesty and humanity that make it so creepy. If you think of Jimmy Stewart as Mr. Smith or George Bailey, and haven't seen this, you will be shocked by his most disturbing and revealing depiction of the everyman.
This is Hitchcock's finest film and possibly the best film ever made.
