Review of Vertigo (1958) by Calvin C — 15 Sep 2012
This is probably the most overrated Hitchcock film, but it isn't bad. Jimmy Stewart's character just gets creepier by the minute and it kind of slowly moves to its conclusion. I will admit that this is Hitchcock's most lavish and well shot films of his career. The story is one trippy dive into the depths of obsession, which keeps the audience guessing to where it will all end up.
Grade: A-.
