Review of Vertigo (1958) by Andrew Y — 22 Nov 2012
Vertigo was recently voted "Greatest Film Of All Time". Its always up high in numerous top film polls. Watched it for first time last night. Didn't rate it really. I found it particularly slow. Overall, it was a good story and good idea.
Considering it is more than 50 years old, it was filmed really well - as in nice filming techniques. It of course included the famous Hitchcock zooming in, pulling away technique to create a sense of depth.
Nice twists but overall, I didn't particularly enjoy it.
