Review of Vertical Limit (2000) by Cedric L — 06 Aug 2013
It's worth a watch, most definitely for a laugh and for anyone who appreciated Cliffhanger. No it's not a serious film about the perils of climbing and the dangers these people face in the extreme conditions (it's not a fictional Touching the Void), it's an action film about idiots flying helicopters half-way up K2 and jumping off onto a cliff.
It's about the same idiots carrying nitroglycerin in vials up the side of a mountain to rescue people buried in an avalanche. It's about a maniacal Bill Paxton doing everything he can to stay alive and it's about an overly ernest Chris O'Donnell trying to keep his career on track after Batman & Robin.
But relax your brain and common sense and you might enjoy it, I did.
