Review of Versus (2000) by Tom B — 08 Jul 2007
Really fun film, Tak Sakaguchi invents his own way to hold a gun (tilted 45degrees inwards) then procedes to shoot and slice lots of zombies and superhuman immortal type people. Must have been the single biggest influence on the matrix in terms of the fighting style, and boasts a fairly interesting twist at the end that makes the beginning make more sense.
Kenji Matsuda's character must be my all time favourite film character, just because. Also, as always watch the subtitle version, dubbing will ruin it and try to avoid watching it drunk, none of the characters have names.
