Review of Versus (2000) by Steven C — 19 May 2008
The Japenese have a broader taste in some forms more than we do. Believe it or not, it's an independent film. A very well made film, it harkens to back to The Matrix all the way Dawn of The Dead. It's an amalgam of homages, but the film is not a total serious piece of work.
It's an homage film and it works if only for that reason. The plot is too heavy in some ways for an action film, but once you see it...it all fits into place.
