Review of Veronica Mars (2014) by James S — 16 Mar 2014
Brilliant.
A clever thriller, a modern updating of a very under rated show and a big thank you to the fans.
Well acted, sharply scripted and brilliantly realised. Veronica Mars is the 2010's X-Files Movie with an even sweeter back story.
This could easily have been a mediocre "feature length" TV finale. But what Rob Thomas, his crew, and the cast have created is a stand alone murder espionage/thriller that's right up there with the bigger players and established franchise.
The dialogue is as sharp as ever, and the dedication is easily seen throughout, with guest/a-lister stars popping up in the most bizarre of roles.
Well worth 90 minutes of your time. And if you do manage to guess the mystery before the big reveal, i'd be very surprised!
