Review of Veronica Guerin (2003) by Vincent F — 22 Jun 2013
Out standing and inspiring film of a life that was courageously lived and made a huge difference. Why does someone (or many people) have to die before things that so obviously need to be changed, are changed? Again, I must disagree with the critics--Why does this powerful moving biopic with a superb performance by Cate Blanchett with 70% of the audience liking it get only a 54% rating, when a meaningless piece of nothing like Jesus' Son gets such a high percentage? Why do critics so often like films that are dull, have characters with no redeeming qualities and have nothing significant to say? And then they diss movies like this one.
Makes no sense.
