Review of Vera Drake (2004) by Louay J — 13 Jul 2007
Exquisitely crafted movie. Rarely do you find a movie with such authentic and compelling characters. If you enjoy a slice of social history cira London 1951 then this movie is for you. The drama is poignant and genuine and will tug at your heart from beginning to end.
Cockney accent can be sometimes hard to understand especially when it is masked by ambient city noises. I turned on the subtitles in English.
