Review of Venus (2010) by Kyle E — 23 Nov 2007
Led by a fearless, bold, compassionate and touching performance from Peter O'Toole, Venus is a complex and heartfelt film that neither appeals the shamelful glee of a Richard Curtis comedy nor does it reach the seriousness of a Ken Loach, but comes out better for it.
The tone of Venus is original, Mitchell only occationally slipping, otherwise this is brilliant film.
