Touching story about the love of an older man for a younger woman immaculately played by a splendid bunch of old hams. Nostalgic without being mawkish, fatalistic without being maudlin, Venus maintains a light touch for an hour or so and despite a few slow bits is entertaining.
A fitting close to the career of Peter O'Toole, one of the UK's most charismatic actors.
