This is quite a weird film, normally I'd think it would be suited to people of my Mum's age (and older), but the language and sexuality in the film doesn't really suit that. These days people don't seem to care too much about bad language, I'm sure I heard someone say "Fuck" on 'Neighbours' not too long ago (I wasn't really watching, it was just on in the background.) And the sexuality in 'Venus' isn't expicit, but it is a running theme.
It is funny and touching, with good writing and great performances. So from that point of view it is worth checking out.
