Review of Venus (2006) by Elliot G — 25 Feb 2008
I'm a stickler for any movie with old men sharing witty banter, so I had a pretty good time with this. O'Toole is charming, yes, but his character is a dirty old man, and it's not too much of a stretch for an aging actor to play an aging actor.
It's like having Courtney Love play a drug addict. Schmaltzy film overall.
