Review of Venus (2006) by Clayton W — 23 Feb 2008
Venus is a fine movie that showcases Peter O'Toole's impressive talent. He is immensely charming and devastating in his role as an aging actor who becomes fascinated with his friend's young relative.
Jodie Whittaker is very effective in her role; she holds her own when on-screen with O'Toole, and she develops her character niely through the movie. There were some odd music choices (particularly at the very end), but the great writing and fine supporting cast make this well worth watching.
