The movie is definitely an upgrade from the first film but it still is subpar to other superhero films like Marvel and even DC. The plot is nothing to write home about. And Tom Hardy like in the last film doesn't give that much range in his character.
Carnage was done decently but it strayed from the canon on what the aliens can or can't do from the comics.
