This is a competent film in its category! If you're looking for something that TRIES to take risks just for the sake of taking risks, this isn't it. If you're looking for a fun action flick that is enjoyable and uses its elements properly, you're in the right place.
VENOM is fun, action-packed, and relatable. It's everything you look for in a Marvel flick. And I can't help but feel an early 2000s spiderman vibe and pacing behind this flick... WHICH IS AWESOME.
Sometimes a deviation from the new Marvel Avengers formula is nice.
