Silly fun. Tom Hardy plays the infected Eddie like a cross between fifties-era Marlon Brando, nineties-era Al Pacino and mugging for the cameras Jerry Lewis, making him unlike any superhero lead you've ever seen. He's oddly mesmerizing.
