Sony played it safe. Easily could have been a hard R film, but they did as promised push the envelope with the rating. Ed Hardy was his typicalself, phenomenal acting. Plot was entertaining, and the mix of comedy really added a surprising touch to the film.
If people are mad about them changing the life foundation story line, read the lethal protector comic.... the battle scenes were alot better than the two seconds they defeat them in the comic. Plus the comic has very integrated with spiderman who is not a key part of this movie.
The CGI was next level, and all those hating on this film for the PG-13 rating will probably enjoy the unrated version that will be in the blueray. All I can say is that I hope these ratings dont stop people from seeing the film, so they can do the second in the arc.
... also that movie has to be rated R. ;).
