I don't know why people expect this to be tied in with Spider-Man when it clearly is not. The movie was funny, fun, and didn't take it self super serious and dark just because the character is Venom.

The movie is rates pg-13!!!! It worked well and everyone is having too high of expectations for this to be on Marvel's level. Cut it some slack and enjoy the movie for what it is. I will say that I wished there was more action and that the script was better.

I'd watch this again for sure. I mean the audience has this movie at 89% as of right now. That says something. Movie critiques are being way too picky with this film.
