Review of Venom (2018) by Ryan H — 05 Oct 2018
Despite suffering from what I've dubbed "Tonal Bipolar Disorder," Venom is a blast. Tom Hardy kills it as both Eddie Brock and the titular symbiote, and Riz Ahmed makes a surprisingly menacing villain.
While the film would have definitely been better with an R rating, it pushes the boundaries of PG-13 far enough to be enjoyable anyway. The action is awesome, and the humor (both intentional and unintentional) had me laughing my ass off.
