Review of Venom (2018) by Jamilet D — 07 Oct 2018

Was hesitant to go watch this after the percentage it was receiving and the reviews. However, I wanted to watch this movie as Venom was one of my favorite villains in the Spiderman universe. I definitely agree that the plot and certain elements in the movie didn't work but I have to admit I did enjoy Hardy's portrayal as well as venom's.

The humor was fun and did make me laugh several times. With that said though that first half of the movie felt prolonged, boring and overall unnecessary. Something else could have easily replaced it and I still would have known what was going on in the film.
