Review of Venom (2018) by Jessica O — 03 Oct 2018

Pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this movie. Little slow at first but it did a good job with character development which made up for it. I'm actually already looking forward to a sequel and wouldn't mind seeing it again in theaters.

I'm glad it wasn't as gory/disturbing as it could have been. It was still dark and the off-screen violence left little room for imagination as to what was happening, so it didn't need the gore.

There was much more humor than I thought there would be, though still dark, and not forced or out of place. Tom Hardy was amazing and I thought the special effects we're really well done I would recommend it to anyone that likes sci-fi or comic-based movies.
