Review of Venom (2018) by Tim C — 04 Oct 2018
While not as outright awful as some other super hero movies have been in the past, Venom simply has nothing to say or add, which is a shame considering he is such a unique comic character. Tom Hardy and Riz Ahmed elevate the material as best they can, but the super thin and cut down story, is easily worthy of something to pop on streaming.
Our main conflict is so lacking in drama, stakes and purpose the entire film just loses any meaning.
