Review of Venom (2018) by Westley E — 04 Oct 2018

I went with low expectations based on the early critic reviews. They could not have been more wrong. Venom is gripping, funny, and well-paced. The effects which fail to impress in the small youtube screen are great on the big screen.

Hardy especially, but also everyone else, acts well. I liked the San Francisco setting, and the simple plot, which let there be plenty of room for Venom and Brock to get to know each other. There is a slight romance subplot between Eddie and his ex, but the real relationship is between man and symbiote.

Here's hoping that the critic's reviews don't kill the sequel. I would love to have more Venom sass! Go see it!
