Review of Venom (2018) by Zak K — 04 Oct 2018
I found myself distracted from the terrible script and generic dialogue by Tom Hardy' s character choice of being what I can only assume is what a crackhead would act and sound like. It seemed he was trying to inject as much character in he could into a very dead script. Unfortunately, he came off as a mumbling mess of an incoherent homeless man with cotton in his mouth.
The plot seemed rushed, cliche, and so full of holes it is astounding they kept on going, and at several points in the movie I was visibly cringing and genuinely horrified.
All in all, the best part of venom was the idea of seeing a character like venom depicted on the big screen. Unfortunately, they completely botched every aspect of the film and permanently burned it into my mind.
Thanks Sony,.
Please leave the Marvel characters to be produced by Marvel, they know what they are doing.
