Review of Venom (2018) by Matthew W — 04 Oct 2018
While it has the generic tropes of adding a girlfriend for no real reason and a weak villain, that's sadly the standard for origin super hero movies. Despite that the action choreographed takes full advantage of Venom's abilities and is a complete joy to watch.
The reason to see this movie though is the conversations between Eddie Brock and the symbiote. They're extremely charming in most cases and had the theater laughing. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Venom.
