Saw in IMAX, so the effects looked pretty good. Other than the long car chase, the action is easy to follow, the fight choreography is interesting, and has some great moments. It's funny, it's spooky (not quite jump scare, but I Yelped twice).
Tom Hardy wasn't shirtless once (pg13 after all), venom was very fun, and did well for a villain movie sans superhero.
