Review of Vengeance: A Love Story (2017) by Aguila9 — 31 Mar 2020
This was a promising movie for the first 20 minutes or so. The tragedy and violence portrayed were not only convincing, but actually fomented a lust for vengeance in the viewer. Second act. A trial with the drama and emotion of the People's Court mixed with the hyper-displays of Maury Povich guests. Ans yes, a decision that sets up the expected 3rd act for the much anticipated Charles Bronson type carnage.
Nope. What we get is some poorly unraveled Lifetime plot, phoned in acting (in the tradition of 1-out-of-3 Cage movies), and the budget values of a Saturday night Sci-Fi Channel movie. This movie was only missing the female victim being seen by Dr. Albert Beck (Eric Roberts).
