Review of Vegas Vacation (1997) by Jason — 10 Jan 2009
Comes close, though does not quite live up to other members of its' series, specifically Christmas Vacation and the original Vacation. Chevy Chase is as comedic as expected. Newton is seamlessly integrated into the story.
Cousin Eddie plays well in keeping the humor at the intended and expected basic level, though scenes at his trailer are too drawn out. The scene where the family is driving past Christie Brinkley in the convertible and Chase's resulting facial expressions will remain etched into my memory forever.
Very well directed, continues to get a laugh even when watched a number of times over.
