Review of Vegas Vacation (1997) by Johnny T — 06 Mar 2011
The Griswolds, headed by Chevy Chase, are taking what could be one of their last family vacations. Directed by Stephen Kessler made an enjoyable third sequel to the ever popular "Vacation" movies. The subplots involving D'Angelo and Newton and Ethan Embry -- the Griswolds' son, who can't stop winning -- have their charms. Series regulars Chevy Chase, Beverly D'Angelo and Randy Quaid (who joined for "Christmas Vacation") are all back for more. The jokes are plentiful and enjoyable. An entertaining and hilarious movie for the whole family.
VERDICT: "Matinée" - (Mixed reaction). These kinds of movies are usually movies that had some good things, but some bad things kept it from being amazing. This rating says to pay matinée prices to see at a theater or buy an ex rental or a cheap price the DVD to own..
