Review of Varsity Blues (1999) by Heather B — 11 Nov 2011

Backed by strong performances, Varsity Blues is a feel-good high school football drama filled with emotion, passion, and comedy. It's by far the most cliched movie that I has made the biggest impact on me.

I watched it shortly before I graduated high school and that was the perfect time. I did not play football, but as the sentimental last scene concluded, the credits rolled, and Collective Soul's "Run" began to play, I reflected on cross country, my high school experience, and my life up to that point.

I was still on the couch as the credits ended.
