Review of Vanya on 42nd Street (1994) by David S — 08 Jun 2007
If you love theatre and you love cinema, the two mediums unite in what turns out to be an utterly beautiful, stripped-down, well-performed rendition of one of Chekhov's best works. I still can't shake Sonya's final monologue, or any of Julianne Moore's facial expressions (she really is a master when in the right role).
