After getting over the fact that this film was not about a group of ornithologists surveying bird flight activity for a wind farm on some remote hill in Scotland (known as 'Vantage Point' surveys), it was actually pretty good.

To be fair, I'm grateful the subject matter isn't wind farm surveys! Seriously, though, the narrative for the most-part is genius. By showing the same 23 mins of the assassination of the US president from different people's perspectives, the audience is able to piece the puzzle together.

It also highlights just how wrong our conclusions can be based upon what little information we ever have to go on in any situation. Furthermore, it makes a chilling comment on today's media and politics.

The cast are all superb - high calibre actors able to bring 3D characters to the screen in a short period of time. Unfortunately, after using such an imaginative narrative for most of the film, it degenerates into a standard Hollywood action/thriller narrative for the final 15 minutes, totaly neutralizing the effect.

Still, the car chase almost makes up for this...
