Review of Vannin' (2013) by Julie H — 01 Aug 2018
This is an insightful documentary about a culture that has remained under the radar for close to 50 years. At the National Vannin event, a three day weekend at an obscure location, members from all over the country gather to celebrate their custom vans, party and haze their newest members.
Intriguing history of the van movement and the evolution of Woodstock on wheels. Loved the vintage film footage of past festivals and interviews with founding members. This was awesome and well worth the time.
I could have watched a few more hours of old footage. The weirdest blip was the the end credits where the soundtrack doesn't match the video footage. Other than that, WATCH THIS FILM!
