Review of Vanity Fair (2004) by Abigail P — 06 Oct 2007
I love the novel and when I saw the cast list I got really excited. Reese Witherspoon is perfect for the role of Becky and I admit she did it pretty well. Shame about all the liberties that were taken with the book though.
I know it mentions India once or twice but there's no need to make that the focus of the film. It could have been so good but was ruined by a director being given too much freedom to mess with it.
