Review of Vanity Fair (2004) by Meherin H — 15 Mar 2008
Very interesting storyline, but parts were a bit unexplained. I had trouble understanding Rawdon and Becky's relationship throughout the movie. And the ending I did not like. Becky had absolutely no redeeming characteristic other than helping Amelia see the truth.
She just continued being fake and manipulative. And Mira Nair needs to cut back on the Indian scenes. They were pretty, and gave insight to the time period, but they were very prolonged and took time away from plot.
We all know she's Indian. It seems like she's trying too hard to prove it to everyone.
