I'd forgotten just how good this is. Kowalski is the last knight, last gunfighter, last American hero; blazing across the desert on his white charger (or 1970 challenger, that is). When the freedom of the Sixties collided with the real world Vanishing Point is the glorious burning wreck that was left.
No hero lives forever.
