Some say Vanishing point is an Easy Rider afterburner and pointless in a way. But it's not - at least not unconsciously.The main character Kowalski is not on a mission from God. He's 'just' a suicidal ex-cop on speed trying to drive a Challenger to Frisco.
And that's the whole glorious I-wanna-see-this-film-eight-times point.
