Review of Vanishing on 7th Street (2010) by Liam C — 02 May 2011
I was able to get a first viewing of this film, before it hit major theaters, and I have to say I was very happy with the way this film was made. It's an intellectual triller that really cares more about the characters then it does with the action, which until the last scene really doesn't come as often.
Although, the acting could have been better, the overall way that the lines were given were very nicely done. The script really made you think more than it just gave you answers. We never ever find out (like most sci-fi) movies what is doing this, what are these things, etc.
The film keeps you thinking, and never gives you a straight answer, which I really enjoyed. This film actually will make you afraid of the dark, with it's suspense, and lack of sunlight. Overall, a very good film, but from Brad Anderson (Session 9) what else would we expect.
