Review of Vanishing on 7th Street (2010) by Shawn-Ray M — 25 May 2011
** (out of four).
"Vanishing On 7th Street" is able to successfully set a mood, but it isn't able to take the promise of the set up and deliver a well thought out, intriguing film.
In the darkness of a Detroit night. People vanish instantly leaving only their clothes. A few people miss the occurance and are left alone in the city with only the shadows to hunt them.
The movie feels like an average episode of "The Twighlight Zone" stretched over 90 minutes. It's too bad because I really liked the directors previous films "The Machinist" and "Transiberian".
