"Ooh!" This suprised me a lot! This movie uses, what I think is a key element of scaring, that is the unknown. It has something of the Grudge and 'the last man on earth' -thing of I am Legend for example or Resident Evil. For the first half hour it is all a questionmark,.

The only thing that is sure is to bring light, lots of it! Everyone has dissapeared and we see Luke trying to get out of town a few days after that one night where everyone dissappeared. He meets a young boy in a bar that still has light because of the generator.

The story of the guy in the theater and the woman who comes in later are nively woven into the bigger story of getting out of there, away from the shadows. Also a slight element of faith is approached. 'Why us?, How?, Why now?' But soon survival kicks in.

I got a few 'scares', well startles, 2 to be exact, but I have to say the tension 'darkens' intensly with the shadows! It's a cool and logical concept two, when you find out later. Though, I think this is a remake of a novel or so. The four roles are greatly performed.

Very strong Hayden, he has to cope with the fact that his wife isn't here anymore, but there's something troubling him, he knows a bit more than the rest. All of them seem to have psychological effects two, very well integrated into what appears to be real, or is it...

When they try to complete his plan involving a car that isn't run down completely, it get's realy exciting. Aswell inside the bar where the 'geny', or the shadows are fooling with their lives.

It's all pretty correct two for that matter. Only once or twice the typical 'stupid human horror-foolishness' makes you mad as a viewer. Near the end Luke makes such a mistake, saving the boy ofcourse.

Then eventually the little angelic girl comes to the screen again, explaining how she survived these days. Cute! And so a new life can be restored, idealic, on a horse, leaving the forsaken town and all of it's shadows. Very good Horror-thriller!
