Review of Vanishing on 7th Street (2010) by Kris W — 22 Aug 2011
Aside from completely and utterly pointless, it was really disappointing and I so wanted to like this very much because the preview looked really intense, but alas, it didn't live up to my already low expectations.
Plus I really couldn't get over the fact how incredibly stupid every one of the characters were. I mean, they are battling a force that is afraid of light and what could be a more ideal place (other than a lamp shop) to get unlimited source of light than a fully stocked bar.
Hello people!!! Bottles of booze (haven't you seen Coyote Ugly?)+cotton shirt for wicks (which there were plenty of from the people who disappeared)+matches/lighter(again duh bar! and one of the "survivors" was a smoker)= lightsource! Or any of the flammable cleaning products in the bar basement where the backup generator was.
That and there was a clinic up the street with guess what? Yup, alcohol! No sympathies for the characters, they all deserve to disappear.......
