Review of Vanishing on 7th Street (2010) by Nathan D — 25 Feb 2012
Brad Anderson does a great job with Fringe but sadly the script flails about almost as much as the cast in this movie. I know it may seem to be clever for writers to leave things open to audience interpretation but when all you do is ask questions and give no answers it just frustrates and makes it seem like you have no real depth to what you want to say.
In Japanese there's a word for the way this movie ends and describes the writing. æ??ä½?!
This movie was rented out constantly for months giving it even more appeal it seemed. In the end I think all the people who rented it just vanished.
By the way the Japanese title is much better. It's called Reset. As opposed to Vanishing on 7th Street... Er... Detroit... I mean.... Chicago... I mean everyone except children. But why? I exist. I exist. I exist.
