Review of Vanilla Sky (2001) by Daniel D — 12 Aug 2013
I don't know what I expected when I decided to watch this film. I saw a trailer back when it was going to come out and I'd enjoyed other Cameron Diaz movies so made a note to watch it. It's been twelve years and I've finally got around to it only to wonder whether it was worth it.
The movie clearly thinks more of itself than it should and apart from a few moments of Cruise's descent into madness there's not a whole lot entertaining here. Nor is the ending rewarding, it's merely.
..an ending. I honestly don't know where I stand except to say I'm not satisfied.
