Review of Vanilla Sky (2001) by Alex D — 08 May 2010
This is one of those movies that makes me wish big time Hollywood directors would stay in their blockbuster territory and stay away from anything serious. This movie could have been really, really good.
But as much as I loved Almost Famous, Cameron Crowe really botched this one. Mediocre and incredibly generic in all stylistic categories and overtly emotional to the point of boredom (especially in the last scene).
The acting makes it watchable, but that's about it.
