Review of Vanilla Sky (2001) by Mike C — 24 Apr 2013
I don't know why this gets such a crappy rating, but maybe I'm biased because I love Crowe and Tom Cruise is a great actor if nothing else. This film stays with you for a while; it's uneasy and forces you reflect on reality, but in a good way.
Oh and everyone bangs on about the Spanish film this was a remake of being infinite times better (even though they've not seen it). Well, maybe it is but at least this one looks a shit-ton better whereas the Spanish one looks like a tv movie and this one has that epic scene in Times Square which is worth a tomato on its own or whatever.
