Misunderstood and unfairly maligned, this is a hypnotic, crafty, and sublimely intelligent dreamscape. If it weren't for his whacked out religious beliefs, Tom Cruise would be heralded as one of the finest actors of his generation - "Vanilla Sky" is a testament to that.
Completely engrossing, wonderfully written and beautifully acted, (I even like Diaz in this, and I usually can't stand her), this is a rare treat of a film.
