Review of Vanaja (2006) by Krittika G — 11 Sep 2007
I have mixed feelings about Vanaja. I thought the acting was great, especially by the lead actress and the cast of non-professional actors..but I thought there were a lot of lose ends, but it brought up a lot of issues in terms of sexual violence and caste issues.
There was a q and a at the NYC screening I was at with the Director and Mamatha the actress who plays Vanaja and that was great!
