Disappointing? Well, I am sure that many knew that this movie was going to bomb. After all, it was readily apparent to anyone with eyes and a working mind that this was going to be a simple vehicle for the newly-discovered Hugh Jackman to get some screen-time between sessions as X-Men's Wolverine. A campy plot, a hamy, over-acted Dracula, and ridiculous sub-plot which perverts the whole concept behind the Van Helsing character took what was supposed to be a thrilling ride amid a complex religious battle between good and evil and.
Turned it into cheesy video game fodder. Ironically, I was hoping that this film would be at LEAST as good as a Castlevania game. Huh.
